I discovered this beautiful soul song exactly 10 years ago on some random compilation I don't even remember the title of at this stage. The girl goes by the name McKay and was at that time already a member of the acid jazz crew Brooklyn Funk Essential. Stephanie McKay had her debut released via Go!Beat which explains Portishead's Geoff Barrow co-producing this single.
