SHREM'S LATE MONDAY NIGHT SESSIONS: "VINES" - Ocho

One of Dublin's based kept electronic secrets Ocho return after almost 4 years with an enthralling slice of ice cold electro. Stace Gill's whispery, soulful vocal harmonies intertwine sublimely with layers of intense slow beats and instead of a musical juxtaposition they conceive a celestial unity of sounds and tones. I have been wondering what would the Irish duo have in store for us ever since I have fallen with "Young Hunting" back in 2012 - one of the greatest tracks that year. The remarkable "Vines" floats somewhere between Sevdaliza's "That Other Girl" and Portishead's "Machine Gun". The song is out now on iTunes via Feel Good Lost. Intensive melancholia.

SHREM'S LATE MONDAY NIGHT SESSIONS... "YOUNG HUNTING" - Ocho

I am absolutely over the moon I can finally present you with the astonishing video for what shapes to be this year's number one tune to come out of Ireland. "Young Hunting" by Ocho is a sophisticated mixture of mesmerising electronica, 'goosebumps causing' intricate production,  and the hypnotising vocals of the charismatic Stace Gill. All the above was given a moody trip-hop treatment too which only adds to its exceptional value. I've had this song on repeat for months at this stage, falling more and more for its ethereal beauty, so glad it'll get its well deserved further attention now with this superb video. Ireland's finest!
