SHREM'S LIST OBSESSION: Top 5 "Kampest" Tracks by Kamp!

On the glorious occasion of Kamp! - Poland's #1 electro/indie act playing a gig here in Dublin for the first time I decided to go over their entire catalogue so far and cherry-pick the juiciest of their tracks to date. This Polish export are arguably one of the most successful groups to emerge from Poland on the electronic scene. Having conquered their native country, they have amassed a niche European fan base with their synth pop and nebulous vocals adding a new age dimension to retro disco. Reminiscent of summer night raves and hypnotic vibes, Kamp! are expected to play a debut sell-out gig at Button Factory on 9th May. SHREM'S DOUBLE TROUBLE: "Redheads Feel More Pain" - Glass Candy /// "Fill the Blanks" - Appaloosa

Two more videos from Italians Do It Better's ubiquitous "After Dark 2" compilation emerged in the last few weeks. Alberto Rossini just added another vintage inspired clip to his visual odyssey of videos submitted exclusively for the label, this time focusing solely on the incomparable Ida No while portraying Glass Candy's most experimental and uncompromising single in years "Redheads Feel More Pain". In the meantime French duo Appaloosa released an aptly bizarre video, directed by Raphaëlle Chovin, for their strange little electro number "Fill the Blanks". Both tracks, alongside brand new tunes from Desire, Chromatics and Farah, can be found on "After Dark 2" which is an absolute must for all the nu italo disco, underground electro and "twisted" synth pop lovers out there.

SHREM'S LATE MONDAY NIGHT SESSIONS... "SINISTER" - Appaloosa

Discotexas nu-disco darlings Appaloosa stole my heart with their bizarrely catchy single "Patchwork" early December 2011. I was also hugely impressed by the track's remix done by my homeland's best musical export, Polish Kamp! The London/Paris based ethereal duo continues the promotion of their quality sounds packed EP by releasing the video for its B-Side, the esoteric "Sinister".  It is a truly mesmerising visual and sonic experience. Appaloosa remain one of the Lisbon label's most unique and promising acts ever signed by them.

SHREM'S LATE MONDAY NIGHT SESSIONS... "PATCHWORK" - Appaloosa + Kamp! Remix

More talented French musicians in the house today! Appaloosa released their brand new single via the ever so popular Discotexas with a package of mixes by Kamp! (utter sonic bliss!!!) and Bostro Pesopeo among others. Think I like it as much as their astonishing electro piece "Intimate" accompanied by Glass Candy's ingenious remix. Another new band to keep an eye on in the future, their very own enchanting mélange of naive synth pop and electro tickles me pink.
