SHREM'S DOUBLE TROUBLE: "ProtoVision (Blood Orange Remix)" - Kavinsky /// "Locked In Closets" - Solange

Mr Devonté "Dev" Hynes, better known as Blood Orange, was in recent months responsible for some of the most exquisite productions on the map of pop music worldwide. No one was left unintrigued hearing Solange's "Losing You" or Sky Ferreira's "Everything Is Embarrassing". He was additionally the creative genius behind Solange's entire EP "True" packed with R'N'B gems of the modern era. "Locked In Closets" is one of the brightest consequences of this fruitful collaboration. The busy producer has also just re-vamped Kavinsky's "ProtoVision" and turned it into a murky 80's inspired synth-pop number guest featuring The New Sins. ACE!

SHREM'S DOUBLE TROUBLE: "DON'T BREAK MY HEART" /// "FEELINGS HAVE CHANGED" - The New Sins

Lou Hayter has been known to keep herself busy with various eclectic music projects for quite some time at this stage. A member of New Young Pony Club originally, Jean-Benoit Duncel (Air!) collaborator under the alias of Tomorrow's World, she also, alongside Nick Phillips, went on to explore more pop orientated sounds with their luscious productions as The New Sins. The duo's sadly underrated absolute gem "Feelings Have Changed" is one of the biggest lost classics of the past few years. A pure pop perfection of a song. The New Sins are back this week with their delicious take-on UB40's "Don't Break My Heart". Both tracks remind me of some of Bananarama's early recordings and that's only a compliment in my books!

And here's a bonus dub edit by Tronik Youth. Also very appetising!

THE DECADE IN SONGS 190 - 181

190 - POLEPIONY - Fisz - does an exception always confirm the rule? If so this excellent (both lyrically as well as musically) Polish hip-hop track confirms the overall rule of Polish hip-hop scene being rather embarrasingly poor... Awww sweet Krakow memories...

189 - LA CHANSON DE SATIE - Arhur H Feat. Feist - look @ the cute animation inspired by the song:

188 - COOL ALPINE - Niobe - eccentric chanteuse aus Deutschland and her deliciously funky unconventional dancefloor filler 4 all the intellectual geeks in da house:-)

187 - WHERE ARE YOU - Moonflowers

186 - AMPHIBIAN - Björk - mesmerising soundtrack 2 BEING JOHN MALKOVICH's end credits, mysterious, complex & utterly delicate

185 - STREET LULLABY (HERBERT'S GUTTER DUB) - Two Banks Of Four -

184 - VOODOO - Chungking - from the 3xP club = PURE POP PERFECTION, why oh why this has never been massive? Even remix by the mighty Hot Chip didn't help... Well I know it by heart anyways:-)

183 - 1 THING - Amerie - The R'N'B anthem suitable 4 even the biggest enemies of the genre

182 - FEELINGS HAVE CHANGED - The New Sins - shout-outs go 2 Jaysin in the street art capital of New Zealand - Wellington, I am still totally hooked by this number, and Adrian was right it does sound like Bananarama @ their best a wee bit, perhaps slightly updated 4 the new decade ha ha ha

181 - MULTIPLY - Jamie Lidell
