CHOON OF THE DAY: "AEROBIC LAMBADA" - Zhala [Video]
I've already been raving about Zhala's hyper-energetic "Aerobic Lambada" HERE but now we receive the official video for this underground rave anthem. Directed by Ester Martin Bergsmark.
In Zhala's own words: "The song describes the itchy feeling you get in your butt when you have to adjust to different social contexts but you can't, that frustration, and also stress, when you hurry in slow motion. I wanted to keep that feeling in the video and create a dream and reality that is fused together."

SHREM'S CLUB BIZARRE INTRODUCING: "AEROBIC LAMBADA" - Zhala
The Swedish Modern Rave diva and Robyn's protégé, Zhala, who stole my heart last year with "I’m In Love" (among Top 10 Best Tracks of 2014) is back with another one of a kind, unstoppable electro moment. I've already listed Zhala alongside Ibeyi, Yumi Zouma and Shamir as one of the hottest newcomers last year so unsurprisingly I am really hoping Konichiwa Records are planning to release her debut album sometime in 2015. Hyper-energetic, bizarrely tribal and inescapably hypnotic, "Aerobic Lambada" adds an extra layer of fascination to the artistic intrigue that is Zhala. I am a huge fan.

SHREM'S CLUB BIZARRE INTRODUCING: "STRONG HANDS" - Tami Tamaki
Do you remember "I Never Loved This Hard, This Fast Before"? The mysterious Tami Tamaki's explicit, obscure and unclassifiable vocoder driven slow electro track that sounded like both the most unique and the most bonkers thing we've heard in years? 8 month after discovering this unbelievable song I stumbled upon Tamaki's brand new rave-ready track "Strong Hands" available for free on the artist's soundcloud. Echoing both Crystal Castles and German Love Parade anthems, on the verge of the ultimate musical kitsch, "Strong Hands" makes me crave Tami Tamaki's music even more. One of a kind.

SHREM'S DOUBLE TROUBLE: "PROPHET" - Zhala /// "TERROR" - RIINA
Two oddball alternative pop chanteuses and their two new videos. Joint here together due to the unclassifiable nature of these two songs, blending countless genres and styles and the red colour dominating both clips. Zhala is a Robyn protégée recently becoming the first artist to be signed to the Swedish Pop Queen's label Konichiwa Records. This is what Robyn herself had to say about Zhala: "Zhala makes the most interesting music that takes you on a ride with each song. It's so broad and has so much integrity at the same time. When Zhala sings the heavens open and the stars come down to hover over my head and I feel like anything is possible. I'm so happy to be a part of taking her music to a new audience!". "Prophet EP" is out now and both singers performed the title track at last month's Swedish Grammis. And what an extraordinary performance that was!!! As for RIINA, or Rina Sawayama as she was formerly known as, "Terror" comes as a follow-up single to her breathtakingly beautiful "Sleeping In Waking" and is also out now!

SHREM'S EXCLUSIVE: PERFECT PARTY PLAYLIST VOL. 11 by Sally Shapiro
Since 2006 Sally Shapiro and Johan Agebjörn have been successfully reinventing Italo Disco sounds becoming prime ambassadors of the genre. Reignating the excitement for italo disco, eurobeat and synth-pop among the Dance & Electronica fans around the globe, the Swedish duo became a cult act generously releasing new music, remix bundles and sought-after strictly limited editions of their albums including a cassette version of their "My Guilty Pleasure" for instance. A dream act for people obsessed with collecting music in physical copies like myself! Sally Shapiro are responsible for some of the most mesmirising tracks of the past few years and I am over the moon to have them guest appearing on my carousel with this jolly playlist below. SHREM'S FUTURE ANTHEMS: "Everything You Never Had (We Had It All)" - Breach feat. Andreya Triana
2013. The year of House music. Remember "Jack" the utterly catchy UK Garage single that scored #9 on the UK Singles Chart earlier on this year? Well you most certainly must remember THIS berserk video which accompanied the release. Well, here's Breach's follow up tune, an oldskool heavy diva house stomper which features the amazingly talented Andreya Triana (Bonobo, Flying Lotus, Mr. Scruff) on vocals. What a massive track!!!

CHOON OF THE DAY: "HOW CAN I LIVE WITHOUT YOU (MAKE IT RIGHT)" - Hervé feat. Ronika
Well this sounds like some of those earlu 90's rave anthems that used to effortlessly score a spot on UK top 40. Gone are the days but this oldskool flavoured single by Hervé featuring Miss Ronika on vocals did put a huge smile on my face today. Put your hands up in the air!

SHREM'S DOUBLE TROUBLE: "HIGHWAY" - High Powered Boys /// "TAKE IT BACK" - Toddla T feat. Shola Ama and J2K

Two absolute sizzling hot underground house anthems. They both battling to be my current number one. Bring back the 90's ha? Lovely to hear Shola Ama's sweet vocals too, really hope Toddla T's upcoming collaboration with Róisín Murphy called "Cherry Picking" is as brilliant!

KEEP DA FLAVA OF DA OLDSKOOL: OOOPS - 808 State feat. Björk

This was Björk's first post-Sugarcubes flirt with the electronic scene, 2 years before her groundbreaking "DEBUT" dropped in. It has its special almost cult status among my favourite tracks cause perhaps if not for this Graham Massey collaboration, la Guðmundsdóttir would have never got into dance music in the first place... Timeless and hard to believe it's 20 years since its initial release...
