SHREM'S DOUBLE TROUBLE: "DIAMONDS" /// "SAME WAY I FEEL" - Midnight Magic
The versatility of Tiffany Roth's voice is second to none. I'm sure you're all fully aware of my Midnight Magic obsession at this stage but I always feel like there can never be enough praising for this Brooklyn disco machine. Especially with the run of excellent tracks, most of which the band tends to generously give away for free. "Diamonds" comes as an exhilarating announcement of Midnight Magic's long-anticipated first solo album, "Walking the Midnight Streets" is shaping to be one my favourite albums of the year. Roth spoils us with a spectacular vocal performance. The second tune "Same Way I Feel" with its instantly recognisable horns, the band's trademark at this stage, is a sassy mélange of nu-disco and funk. One of a kind! And while you're at indulging in those mesmerising new songs, have a look also at a very special exclusive "Perfect Part Playlist" Miss Tiffany Roth herself cherry-picked for my carousel.

LA MURPHY SAGA CONTINUES: "FLASH OF LIGHT" - [with Luca C & Brigante] + "SIMULATION EP"
Happy days for all Róisín Murphy fanatics, admirers and devotees like myself. Her long anticipated collaboration with an Italian duo Luca C & Brigante "Flash Of Light" is finally out via Southern Fried Records. This brand new addition to La Murphy's versatile list of collaborations is a fresh breath of air on the house scene and another absolutely spectacular vocal performance on her account. Radio Edit of the song is out now on iTunes and the single is also available exclusively on Beatport who tend to get the juiciest of dance releases before anyone else these days. Such a thrill!

CHOONS OF THE DAY: "EVERY GIRL EP" - Voxels
I've got some more of those much needed summery house vibes to soothe this autumn feel approaching fast. Porto based duo Voxels blew me away back in April with their house stomper "Nasty" and now they're back with more of those juicy grooves. Let the ☼shine!

SHREM'S LATE MONDAY NIGHT SESSIONS... "EARLY MORNING" - Isaac Delusion
I have found this irresistible summer treasure on the latest compilation in the "French Attack!" series. The whole EP is coming up soon via The Cracki Records. It's such a glorious little sonic excursion. For fans of Washed-Out, Metronomy or Au Revoir Simone.
Oh and there's a lovely live version of this enchanting tune as well:

CHOON OF THE DAY: "JUICY LUCY (NEEDS A BOOGIEMAN) - Jupiter + Punks Jump Up & Little Boots Remixes
Parisian duo Jupiter, alongside Chromeo and Electric Youth, takes the lead in reviving all sounds 80's. It's the scrumptious mixture of those charmingly old-fashioned synths, irresistible melodies and in the case of Jupiter, that sweet French accent... "Juicy Lucy", the title track and the 4th single already taken from their delectable debut album. Pure joy. Pure Pop Perfection. And on a side note London based Punks Jump Up deliver one of the finest mixes to date! It just gave me a little nerdy idea about another list I should compile soon...

SHREM'S DOUBLE TROUBLE: "FOREVERMORE" /// "ATTITUDE" [with System of Survival] - Shaun J. Wright
Shaun J. Wright must be currently my favourite of all male vocalists. The velvet timbre of his voice turns any song into sonic gold. The next few months will see some of his most anticipated collaborations with Stereogamous and Kiddy Sm!le to be finally released. In the meantime we were treated to "Attitude" a moody slice of urban house on System of Survival's album "Needle and Thread". It's a good opportunity to remind ourselves of the utter-brilliance of his debut solo single from last year "Forevermore". Such a sleek tune, gives me goosebumps each time... Finally if you missed out on it before, here's a very eclectic and saucy selection of tunes which Shaun kindly cherry-picked
for this exclusive "Perfect Party Playlist" for me.

CHOON OF THE DAY: "NAVY" - Kilo Kish
Since the very first time I heard this tune on Tom Lowe's Audio Sunshine Show a few days ago (listen to the latest show HERE), it almost instantly scored a spot among the best urban singles this year next to "QueenS" by THEESatisfaction and "Phone Line" - Funkineven's latest single with the wonderful Fatima. Kilo Kish certainly is to be closely watched. Such a flawless track! Out on iTunes now with a saucy remix by MeLo-X.

SHREM'S DOUBLE TROUBLE: "NIGHT & DAY" - Emotion II Emotion feat. Ryann /// "THE WHEEL" - The Miracles Club
Two of my favourite house records this year have just received a video treatment. I can't praise the E C S T A S Y label enough, pretty much anything that came out via this Portland based mecca of underground house music is second to none. You can find both of these tracks, alongside tunes by Alexis Blair Penney, Boy Joy, Discodromo and Jason Kendig on this year's juiciest of all dance compilations simply called "E C S T A S Y" out now on iTunes, Beatport and Juno. This is my kind of house music...

SHREM'S BIGGIES BUT GOODIES BASKET: "NIGHT LIGHT" - Jessie Ware
While "Wildest Moments" is slowly conquering some of European charts (it's about time!!!) we are treated to the 4th video from Jessie Ware's eponymous "Devotion" which has just received a Mercury Prize nomination. Delighted it's for one of my favourite songs on this pop-scene-saving record. Pure class!

SHREM'S CLUB BIZARRE INTRODUCING: "LOVE JIHAD" - Skip & Die
This intriguingly twisted and inventively cacophonous mish-mash of urban beats, hip-hop, dancehall and middle-eastern vibes (that clarinet!) comes from a collaboration between the South African vocalist/visual artist Catarina Aimée Dahms (aka Cata.Pirata) and Dutch producer Jori Collignon. Controversially titled "Love Jihad", the song announces Skip & Die's upcoming album "Riots In The Jungle" out on 8th October. Think M.I.A. meets Buraka Som Sistema with a pinch of punk and a Klezmer twist...

SHREM'S DOUBLE TROUBLE: "PRZYZNAJ SIĘ" - June feat. Nosowska /// "ROZSZCZEP" - Nosowska
Katarzyna Nosowska is the most worshipped of all female artists in my homeland, Poland. The cult following of her band Hey is unheard of and incomparable with any other Polish bands of the past few decades. What I cherish Nosowska the most for is her solo projects though. Her fascinating excursions into more exprimental electronic soundscapes and more lavish productions are always a pure thrill. Last week to my absolute delight, Nosowska released a magnificent video accompanying the most uncompromising of the songs from her latest album "8" which also happens to be my number one favourite Polish song last year. Exuberant both lyrically and sonically! The other track is "Przyznaj Się" where she guest appeared on a tune by the relatively unknown band - June. Looks like she'll score a number one in my books for the second consecutive year...

CHOONS OF THE DAY: "ONE OUT OF TWO" + "PROGRAMME" - Breakbot feat. Irfane
I chose some sunny French Touch grooves from Monsieur Breakbot on the splendid occasion of his debut album "By Your Side" being out this week. The album is oozing positive energy from every single track and it reminded me slightly of Modjo's 2001 self-titled record. Expect a lot of fun, putting hands up in the air, smiling and turning practically any time of the year into full blast summertime when you press that "PLAY" button. Vocals provided by Ruckazoid, Irfane and Pacific!.

SHREM'S DOUBLE TROUBLE: "MARILYN" - Bat For Lashes /// "MARILYN" - Floating Points
I picked two completely unrelated tracks for my "Double Trouble" thread this evening. In fact musically they couldn't be any different. The one thing they do have in common though is the title - "Marilyn". I was delighted to discover Bat For Lashes heading towards richer synthie productions, after her previous single "Laura" which was just that tad too folksy for my "electronic" ears... Following the English chanteuse, we have Floating Points - the wizard of all nu soul sonic textures, one of the most unpredictably eclectic producers and djs out there. His Marilyn is all about the groove... Enjoy...

SHREM'S DOUBLE TROUBLE: "DON'T BREAK MY HEART" /// "FEELINGS HAVE CHANGED" - The New Sins
Lou Hayter has been known to keep herself busy with various eclectic music projects for quite some time at this stage. A member of New Young Pony Club originally, Jean-Benoit Duncel (Air!) collaborator under the alias of Tomorrow's World, she also, alongside Nick Phillips, went on to explore more pop orientated sounds with their luscious productions as The New Sins. The duo's sadly underrated absolute gem "Feelings Have Changed" is one of the biggest lost classics of the past few years. A pure pop perfection of a song. The New Sins are back this week with their delicious take-on UB40's "Don't Break My Heart". Both tracks remind me of some of Bananarama's early recordings and that's only a compliment in my books!
And here's a bonus dub edit by Tronik Youth. Also very appetising!

CHOON OF THE DAY: "WALK ON BY" - El Perro Del Mar
I have instantly fallen in love with this wondrous gem by Gothenburg based El Perro Del Mar while browsing through new releases last night. It's a flawless little ditty. Addictive, harmonious and so exquisitely crafted production-wise. I'm all excited and curious about her 4th studio album now. What a beauty!

SHREM'S WORLDLY DELIGHTS: "MARD YIGIT" + "SABR" - Yulduz Usmonova (Юлдуз Усмонова)
Yulduz Usmonova - one of the most enthralling voices of Central Asia and Uzbekistan's first lady of song. Here are two songs which I cherish the most from her vast repertoire of Oriental melodies.
