SHREM'S FUTURE ANTHEMS: "OUR LOVE" - Caribou
Caribou's title track from his forthcoming album "Our Love" is as good as it gets on the electronica front. The unusually delicate and mellow first half of the track turns into an ultimate house belter towards the end sounding like an ideal sonic recipe for a late summer festival's most spectacular anthem. The year 2014, the year that keeps giving and giving so generously the most sensational music releases. I thought it'd be a mission impossible to top the utter brilliance of "Can't Do Without You" but Caribou has effortlessly achieved just that. Put on your dancing shoes, baby!

SHREM'S DOUBLE TROUBLE: "ESPOIR" - Darius /// "AVRIL" - Burning Peacocks
I've got two summery grooves for you today. Both of them come from the latest in the extraordinary series of Colette compilations, always reliable for discovering fresh dance & electronica talents before anyone else does. This one's called "Bonjour Colette" and it's a collaborative initiative aiming to present a selection of tracks by emerging French and Japanese artists signed to either Colette or Bonjour Records respectively.
Darius' "Espoir" is a hedonistic, festival-ready house moment of pure euphoria and Balearic vibes that will make you want to put those hands up in the air instantly.
Burning Peacocks are a Parisian duo inspired by Air, Portishead and Beach House whose sound fits somewhere between the luscious recordings of their compatriots the likes of Sébastien Tellier, Exotica, The Pirouettes or our favourite Cinema. 2 idyllic song beauties all ready for your BBQ's in the sun. Check out also the mini-mix below for a taste of the rest of the compilation.

SHREM'S DOUBLE TROUBLE: "THE MAGNIFICENT" /// "I FEEL SPACE" - Lindstrøm
Norway's prime magician of electronica, Lindstrøm is taking us on a space disco odyssey again. "The Magnificent" is an aptly titled track built around hypnotising soundscapes echoing late 70's cosmic disco and Norway's very own distinctive take-on the genre, the one he's already been a major part of defining in his 2005 epic single "I Feel Space". Don't they just sound ehm... magnificent when played back to back?

CHOON OF THE DAY: "THE ATTIC" - Colm K. feat. Walshy
Following my arrival back on Irish soil from fun and sunshine filled Sónar Festival in Barcelona it makes sense to catch up with blogging with a local treat with a sunny vibe. This Herbie Hancock and Floating Points influenced slice of modern funk from Cork based dj and producer Colm K swept me off my feet instantly. "The Attic" is one of 4 electronic jewels included on his new EP "The Love" which is out now via Bastard Jazz Recordings. A fusion of all sounds delicious. Big up!

CHOON OF THE DAY: "STRANDBAR EP" - Todd Terje
One can never have enough of Norwegian dance music right? Following the post about the fruitful synth-pop collaboration between Annie and Ralph Myerz, I'd like to share Todd Terje's latest single "Strandbar" which is just oozing summer vibes and sunshine from everywhere, including the EP's artwork. This will get me right in the mood for Terje's performance with Lindstrøm at the opening day of Sónar Festival in Barcelona. Choose between samba or disco version of the track below and let the ☼shine.

SHREM'S DOUBLE TROUBLE: "LANZAROTE" - Lindstrøm & Todd Terje /// "Ęg-gęd-ōsis (Todd Terje Edit)" - Lindstrøm
How about a lush portion of Balearic vibes in the middle of this wintertime? Lindstrøm and Todd Terje the Scandinavian dream team are at it again. Following Terje's fantastic re-edits of Lindstrøm's singles last year we finally have a full blast collaboration of these two ultra-talented artists. "Lanzarote" oozes sunshine, happiness and "cakes and ale" from every of its precious second of jolly sounds and will most probably become one of this year's essential tunes during the festival season. The already confirmed gigs for the pair include Nuits Sonores, Sónar, Melt! and A Day At The Park with more dates to be announced in the coming weeks. It's all about Norwegian nu-disco these days!

CHOON OF THE DAY: "Rà-Àkõ-St" - Lindstrøm + Todd Terje Remix
Two Norwegian maestros Todd Terje and Lindstrøm in a collaborative mood just about to hit some festival shows together in the upcoming summer season too. The original track, taken from Lindstrøm's nu-disco odyssey "Smalhans" was, alongside the "Ęg-Gęd-Ōsis" (#63 among Top 100 Best Choons of 2012), re-edited by Terje to an astonishing and dancefloor-ready effect. A sonic match made in Scandinavian heaven.

SHREM'S LATE MONDAY NIGHT SESSIONS... "CREAM" - Claptone

Do you remember Claptone's "She Loves You", one of the best house singles of 2011? Well the Berlin Dj is back now with another anthem-in-the-making "Cream"! Those strings introduced in 4th minute of the track, gave this deep house number a groovy disco twist. Can people please start requesting remixes from this talented man?

SHREM'S LATE MONDAY NIGHT SESSIONS... "Inspector Norse" - Todd Terje

Have some prime retro-futuristic disco made in Oslo and cure this beginning-of-the-week blues. This is Todd Terje's most delicious release since his anthemic "Eurodans". You. Can. Dance.

SHREM'S CLUB BIZARRE PRESENTS... "VHS SEX" by Com Truise

Here's a fan-made video for one of the synth funk tracks by the heavily 80's influenced wonder child who called himself Com Truise. From "Galactic Melt" one of the best albums of 2011 in my humble opinion...

SHREM'S DOUBLE TROUBLE: "HEART STRINGS" - Royalty /// "BOX OF BOX" - Hannulelauri

Two duos. One from London, the other from Helsinki. Two hypnotising instrumental pieces of top quality electronica that I never managed to blog about back in 2011. An invitation to dance.
