Between Sally Shapiro, Austra and Young Galaxy the Canadian label has enough force to satisfy all the hungry musos searching for new thrills in the often unappetisingly bland pop scene of today. Young Galaxy, the Montreal based quintet, appears to take on the role of rescuing the sounds of pop in 2013 with their astonishing 2nd LP "Ultramarine". "New Summer" is that kind of a perfectly crafted piece of a synth-pop recording with a fierce melody, rich production and now also a powerful and strangely hypnotic video directed by Ivan Grbovic. A thing of beauty.
