SHREM'S DOUBLE TROUBLE: "RIGHT BACK TO YOU" - Electric Youth /// "KEEP ON LOVING ME" - Onra

I'm kick-starting the weekend with some "future 80's" vibes. Electric Youth make some of the most convincing and most carefree 1980's sounds along with Chromeo, Jupiter and Grum. Even their name brings back a particularly cheesy 80's pop moment, Debbie Gibson anyone? Electric Youth were recently introduced to a wider audience (with Kavinsky and Desire) thanks to the soundtrack to "Drive" which proved that even the more niche music acts can suddenly out-sell mainstream singles if they're included in a cult movie. Following this jolly song we have Parisian wonder child Onra and his own rendition of the Whispers' soul classic "Keep on Lovin' Me". It's the most fantastic use of an 80's sample I heard since Floating Points' "Love Me Like This". Enough of talking, let these pure fun tunes speak for themselves. Have a brilliant weekend everybody!
