SHREM'S LATE MONDAY NIGHT SESSIONS... "WITHIN YOU" / "OVER"- Gus Gus live @ Harpa + "WHY YOU WANNA" - Earth

My absolute number 1 band on earth, Icelandic super-collective Gus Gus - my huge music passion and addiction for the past 15 years, are about to release my album of the year judging by the two live clips from their recent gig @ Harpa, Reykjavik. I cannot describe how thrilled I am to see Urður Hákonardóttir (a.k.a. Earth) joining the boys for the first time since "Forever". Earth has recently released her solo single via gogoyoko too. Sample it below the video. Roll on 23rd May!!!

SHREM'S ACADEMY OF ALL TIME BEST SINGLES: "BEAM ME UP" - Midnight Magic

One of the most spectacular dance records of last year has finally received a video treatment that I have somehow missed out on earlier on this year. The glamorous Tiffany Roth and co, along with Escort, make the transition between late 70's disco and the current clubland in the most effortless and smoothest way. "Beam Me Up" has all the crucial elements of a disco anthem, let the music lift you up! P.S.Check out also Jacques Renault's discolicious remix!

SHREM'S DOUBLE TROUBLE: "PHARAOHS & PYRAMIDS" - Cut Copy /// "LIGHT OF LOVE (Cut Copy Revision)" - The Miracles Club

First off the Melbourne darlings of synth pop and the undoubtedly finest moment of their third LP "Zonoscope". The cheerful tune is followed by one of my most beloved dance acts at the moment the ultra-flamboyant trio The Miracles Club, whom you might remember from their criminally underlooked gem "Church Song". They've just released another delicious EP that contains this chilled-out "re-vision" mix of their "Light of Love" by the Cut Copy boys themselves.

CHOON OF THE DAY: "PARADE" - Frost + Jori Hulkkonen & Biosphere remixes

What a gorgeous vibrant video for Frost's long anticipated brand new single "Parade". I have such a soft spot for their "icicle pop" sound as I like to call it and Aggie Peterson's sweet voice. Their sound turned more poppy since their ethereal release "Love! Revolution!" it still remains quality. Those talented Norwegians never disappoint... Jori Hulkkonen mix is the deal!

SHREM'S BIGGIES BUT GOODIES BASKET: "TAKE IT BACK" - Toddla T feat. Shola Ama & J2K

And so the video for Toddla T's super-catchy "Take It Back" has finally arrived. Even Shola Ama herself made an appearance. While Ninja Tune keeps us up to date with Toddla T's news, I can't particularly wait for "Cherry Picking" with Róisín Murphy, so far available on a well sought after strictly limited 12".

CHOON OF THE DAY: "THE LOOK" - Metronomy

No other indie band sounds quite like them at the moment. Who would have ever thought I'd post anything "guitarsy" on my disco blog. Well there you go, you never know do you ;-) ?

Special bonus track courtesy of my muso friend Marinita, their great performance @ Later with Jools Holland:
