10 - "Luvvbazaar" - SSION - a stand-out track on Cody Critcheloe's phenomenal 'Bent' an electro-disco-punk feast of an album. The impeccable production + the chorus to die for. As good as their 2008 hommage to Madonna's "Holiday" - "Clown"! SSION remain one of the most original music acts to ever come out of NYC.

07 - "Dancing" - Omar & Zed Bias - I know I'm fond of big words but this massive collaboration is in my humble opinion the most epic single ever released via Tru Thoughts, Mr. Lyefook's most accomplished work since his hey-day and Zed Bias' unbelievable production, the rhythm of 2011!!!

06 - "Drop Me a Line" - Midnight Magic - there was no nu-disco like Midnight Magic's nu-disco in 2011! It wasn't an easy task to come anywhere near their 2010 ultra-anthemic "Beam Me Up" and yet they managed and not only once. Play that funky muzak!

04 - "Do You Need Someone" - Beth Ditto - Simian Mobile Disco produced 2011 most flawless EP turning Gossip front-woman into an underground club diva, the result? 2 of the songs in my top 5! 03 - "Over" - Gus Gus - been an adept of "GusGusology" since their debut album for 4AD circa 1995, not only that they haven't lost any of their creativity, any of their sparkle or their magic but also released their most accomplished album 16 years into making epic electronica, being able to admire this song live in Warsaw this year was one of the highlights of 2011 for me

02 - "I Wrote the Book" - Beth Ditto - all that I wrote at number 4 above, anyway 143 listens on my i-tunes says it all really, plus as a cherry on a cake a video tribute to Madonna's "Justify My Love" all combined together just couldn't end up anywhere outside the top 3 of the year! There simply was no saturday night out in 2011 for me without it!!!
01 - "Manic" - Azari & III - and they did it again... Never thought when I was choosing their out-of-this-world good "Reckless (With Your Love)" as the best track of 2010, that they would match its utter-brilliance within just a year. The Toronto quartet revived the good name of house music, electrified the audiences around the globe with their super-energetic live shows, released one of this year's best albums and recorded "Manic" - an outstanding dance tune and Shrem's BEST CHOON OF 2011! Here's to another anthem in 2012 and marking three years in a row at the top!

20 "White Horse" - Jessica 6 - a worldwide number 1 in an imaginary ideal world, instead randomly a smash hit in Greece and one of 2011 best pop singles
19 "Voodoo Love" - Jadoo feat. Hard Ton - self proclaimed XXL disco diva of the XXI Century a.k.a. Dis-Grace Jones - Mr Hard Ton was behind a whole bunch of excellent dance records this year 2 of which found their spot in my top 20 here. Nu Italo disco super power!

18 "Lost In Time" - Azari & III - been praising them since 2010 (check out the number one tune of that year HERE!) but 2012 will hopefully bring them deservedly to a wider audience as I will say it again they are the best house project out there at the moment... "Lost in Time" = pure energy on record and on stage!
17 "Crystalline" - Björk - the sweetest cacophony Icelandic style with a drill'n'bass wall of sound at the end, one of Björk's strongest singles (along with "Declare Independence") since "Vespertine"
16 "Lonely Sea (Ecstasy Mix)" - Alexis Blair Penney - not less than 3 fantastic house records from Ecstasy in my top 20 of 2011, looks like they were my label of the year, I praise my precious limited copy of Alexis' cult "Lonely Sea" on a lipstick kissed 7" a lot, it's my boyfriend's song of the year too!
15 "Sensitivity" - Champion & Ruby Lee Ryder - UK Funky stomper with an utterly irresistible chorus, delicious beats and sublime vocals

SHREM'S FUTURE ANTHEMS: "OFF TO THE RACES" - Lana Del Rey + "VIDEO GAMES" (live at Chateau Marmont)
It's no news to anyone that 2012 will most probably belong to Miss Lana Del Rey. Voices like this happen rather rarely... "Off to the Races" (get it off iTunes for free this week!) sees a slight change in musical direction flirting with more electronic upbeat production, r'n'b vibes with a mandatory addition of monumental strings. Perhaps 2012 will finally observe a much needed triumphant return of quality music entering the charts again (not seen since Robyn's "With Every Heartbeat in 2007!) thanks to the likes of Del Rey or Azealia Banks. Fingers crossed...

30 "Boadicea" - Mason feat. Róisín Murphy - while waiting (very) patiently for some more solo material, my number one muse Miss Róisín Murphy treated us to some delicious collaborations this year and apparently there's more to come in 2012, I was humming this one away for months!
29 "Call Your Girlfriend" - Robyn - as much as I worshipped Robyn's "Body Talk" last year this was never my favourite track on her spectacular triptych in 2010... It wasn't until this video... Eternally in love with this pure pop perfection of a gem now!
28 "My Friends Will Always Say..." - FaltyDL - UK Garage made in US with a haunting vocal sample which sounds like taken from some lost Lauryn Hill song... The year 2011 the year when I re-fell in love with 2-step...
27 "Cherry Picking" - Toddla T feat. Róisín Murphy - La Murphy goes all rough urban & dirty for Mr T's album - effortlessly the best song of the whole set!
26 "Abracadabra" - Brown Eyed Girls - there's no year without at least one cheesy K-POP anthem ha? Still one of the most viewed videos on my blog one of the catchiest choruses I heard all year!
25 "Calling Out" - Midnight Magic - I can't praise Midnight Magic enough! Their very special take on disco is so fresh and funky, every single track they released this year was excellent plus Tiffany Roth was my number 1 female vocalist of the year by a long mile!
24 "Deep Inside" - Gus Gus - and the Icelandic saga continues...
23 "In The Heat" - Jessica 6 - I'd absolutely love if Nomi Ruiz & co decided to release this as their next single, such a groovy tune
