CHOON OF THE DAY: "HUSH DOWN" - Jaakko Eino Kalevi

"Hush Down" is the 3rd teaser from Jaakko Eino Kalevi's self-titled album which is out globally via Weird World Record on Monday. Similarly to its predecessors, the delicate "Double Talk" and the infectious "Deeper Shadows", the song tempts with Kalevi's unique vision of dreamy synth-pop sweetened by his signature medley of otherworldly vocals. You can stream the whole album at Dummy.

CHOON OF THE DAY: "ATTRACTED" - Kartell

It's about time our favourite Parisian house treasure Kartell spoiled us with another solid portion of his reliably soothing positive vibes. "Tender Games" EP has just dropped via Roche Musique and "Attracted" seems like an instant winner among the 6 new compositions. First half of the release oscillate between slower, more chilled out, soulful grooves while the second chapter is all about those hedonistic, sublime, dancefloor-friendly moments.

SHREM'S DOUBLE TROUBLE: "GOD EMOJI" - Silicon /// "ANNIE" - Neon Indian

Weird World Records, London based indie label which spoiled our ears already with Washed Out and Jaakko Eino Kalevi, are eager to introduce you to Silicon - the new project from Auckland, New Zealand by a Hawaii multi-instrumentalist Kody Nielson. Judging by the first, extremely impressive single "God Emoji" we should be expecting a vibrant sonic cocktail of chillwave, funk and synth-pop. The alluring debut single from Silicon comes with one of this year's most memorable music videos, directed  by Sam Peacocke, the artist's clever Instagram account and this peculiar press blurb:

"Lurking amidst Auckland’s tranquil waters, bold mountains and dormant volcanoes; insomniac Kody Nielson composes shiny and gorgeous pop-aspersions that loiter in the silence. Eyes never blinking, information never ceasing, it is seduction. Don’t stop."

"Annie" is a come-back single from Neon Indian, one of the pioneers of chill-wave, lo-fi and indietronica, arriving almost 4 years after Alan Palomo's last synth-pop gem "Polish Girl". Chosen as one of Pitchork's "Best New Tracks" last week, the song announces a slight change in musical direction for Neon Indian balancing between Balearic vibes, vintage electro pop, italo disco and tropical synths. A charmingly oldskool and oddly appealing mixture of Hot Chip, Penguin Prison and Culture Club. A brand new summer party anthem about to happen.

SHREM'S DOUBLE TROUBLE: "GOING UNDER" - Billie Black /// "YOU" - Jones

I've got two young talented British divas for you today: Billie Black and Jones. Both ladies, redefining and bending the genres of R&B and neo soul, have recently shaken up the musical blogosphere with their refined and flawlessly produced singles.

"Going Under" is Billie Black's seductive flirt with house music and comes from her 2nd EP "Teach Me" which is out now via BBLK Recordings. Your new Saturday pre-club essential.

Jones' "You" is a collaboration with A.K. Paul who was responsible for Nao's "So Good" last year which was ehm... sooo good! 37 Adventures released "Indulge", Jones' sophisticated debut EP, echoing some early Jessie Ware and Lulu James, back in April.
