According to my post yesterday, celebrating Shrem's Carousel's 20000 Fans, I get to mention Steed Lord for the 51st time on my blog! The Icelandic trio of DIY electro pop fashionistas are back this week with single #3 announcing the release of their highly anticipated 4th studio album "The Prophecy pt. 2". Kali, Eddie and Mega have prepared a real oldschool feast garnished with 1980's synths, magnetising diva vocals and their signature productional magic. Above all though "Stutter" electrifies with another flawless melody and seductive chorus, we wouldn't have expected anything less from Steed Lord at this stage.

Last night Aesop shared the official video for TĀLĀ's mesmerising new single "Alchemy" which matched the utter-brilliance of her epic "Serbia" earlier on this year. Video by Studio Moross.
Looks like I might have forgotten to post about "Black Scorpio" another ace track from this promising and genre-bending producer. Here it is:

SHREM'S LIST OBSESSION [20000 FANS EDITION]: Shrem's Top 20 Most Blogged About Artists So Far
I am over the moon! Still remember taking a screen-shot when my SHREM'S CAROUSEL OF ÜBER NERDINESS blog hit its first 100 followers. I never in my wildest dreams thought back in January 2010 that I would ever be able to reach such audience especially considering how nerdy and annoyingly subjective I tend to be. 20000 likes!!! AAAAAAAGGGGGGHHHHHHH! Such a milestone for me. Here's a massive THANK YOU to every single one of you who encouraged me to start blogging in the first place and to all of you kind muso friends for visiting my little musical carousel, sharing, liking commenting, discovering stuff, criticising me and in general supporting my biggest hobby ever: music selecting, reflecting and collecting. "Music Selector is the Soul Reflector" as one of my biggest idols Lady Miss Kier once said... PellyColo (ペリーコロ) is a Japanese dj from Tokyo whose sounds oscillate vibrantly between nu-disco, boogie and synth-pop. The geeky producer serves his music with a healthy dose of old-school vibes, delectable synthesisers, vocoders and contagiously enthusiastic melodies. "Miracle Circle" stood out immediately for me when I heard his "Temptation" EP for the first time. Out now via Bandcamp and iTunes.
SHREM'S NEWBIES BUT TO-BE'S: "Take Me Back" - GL
Electro funk, freestyle and 80's R&B at its most uncannily retro! Melbourne’s cosmic-funk revivalists and their soundtrack to eternal leisure, as GL introduce themselves on their official Facebook page, is a dream come true for all of you who crave those sweet 80's rare grooves as ravenously as me. The Australian duo's freshly released self-titled EP brings the ever-present fashion for 80's music to its peak with its irresistible melodies reminiscent of those flavoursome Janet Jackson, Lisa Lisa & Cult Jam and D'Train gems from back in the day. Passed on to me by my muso-friend Pyrotek from No Snobs Allowed, GL enter a high spot on my personal lists of the ones to watch in the upcoming months. Here's the impossibly delicious "Take Me Back" for an appetiser before you get that 12" into your basket.
