The Icelandic quartet Sísý Ey is back with a brand new single "Mystified" which is just out via the legendary House label Defected. The track is an excursion into soulful deep house territories with the Eyþórsdóttir sisters' flawless vocal harmonies. Jimpster delivers a late night remix with a dark twist. "Mystified" is not an instant anthem which was the case with "Do It Good" or "Ain't Got Nobody" but rather a slow burner which haunts its listeners more and more with every next listen.
The electrifying video for Goldfrapp's latest single "Systemagic", directed by Alison Goldfrapp herself, has just been released. The "Supernature" flavoured synth pop gem, arguably "Silver Eye"'s most anthemic moment, is a follow up to the magnificent "Anymore" which ruled my Crème de la Crème charts for two consecutive months earlier this year. Will Gregory and Alison Goldfrapp's 7th creative era may as well be their strongest to date both visually and aurally.
Aida's latest single is exactly what you're looking for if you have an appetite for a hedonistic dose of positive vibrations, an unpretentious mixture of synth pop, house, disco and funk and some oldskool flavoured beats. The irresistibly melodic chorus of "Let's Ride" will leave you humming away the song pretty much instantly! Think Evelyn "Champagne" King, Gwen Guthrie, 80's roller disco, summer cocktails and daytime partying.
