Joe Goddard must be one of the busiest and most prolific musician out of the whole dance scene at the moment. Outside of recording and touring with Hot Chip and his fun side-project The 2 Bears which he shares with Raf Rundell, he's also admirably capable to produce solid solo releases and collaborate with fellow-dj's on superb tracks. The "Gabriel" producer has just appeared on "Hold Up" a smooth house tune by Osborne which is just out via Ghostly. 6 minutes of pure sonic pleasure. This sublime song goes quite well with Goddard's recent joint effort with the legendary Boris Dlugosch. "Step Together" comes from "Taking Over EP" and is a vital summer moment with that seductive "put-your-hands-up-in-the-air" kind of vibe. 2 excellent tunes from the most talented member of the mighty Hot Chip. Taking over indeed.
