Remember Jean Norris and Renee Neufville a.k.a. Zhané? Top 1990's R'N'B act in my books. 6 amazing singles released from their Motown debut PRONOUNCED JAH-NAY. Off all of them this one is by far my most beloved one... Hey Mister Dj play that groove thang! Ah memories...
Fantastic week 4 new releases. Here's a jolly little number from "Vodka-Pom" sipping Parisian Showgirls. Their charming new EP comes with remixes by Hypnolove James Curd and Burgalat. C'est délicieux!
Unquestionable underground anthem, a number one single that never was and simply one of the most memorable tracks of thepast few years. Uffie's about 2 release her debut album co-produced by Mirwais among others. I am super-excited about it!
As Fever Ray's unbelievable debut album was released while I was enjoying my trip around the world I am only discovering its genius now. "FEVER RAY" deluxe edition with all the videos was one of the best purchases I made this year, I have also started going through all their singles cherry-picking the most attractive remixes and here's two I particularly like, the first one by this Dutch dubstep project I am not really familiar with and the second one beautifully remade by Sweden's hottest act out there Familjen. Roll on September and FEVER RAY live @ Electric Picnic here in Ireland.
This is going 2 b my soundtrack 2 this summer. Crème de la Crème of young talents. Collaboration between up and coming djs YUKSEK and BRODINSKI, Ebony Bones! - "THE purest cure for boredom" as described by Lady Miss Kier herself, all in a juicy house remix provided by Paris' finest Dj Mehdi. B-L-I-S-S!
Robyn's phenomenal new single taken from her BODY TALK triptych coming up in three musical installments. She still remains the only one act around 2 save Pop Music. SWEDES DO IT BETTER!
Two aspects of music I adore most of all bar listening is collecting and making lists so I thought I'd introduce a super-nerdy new thread where I will b sharing my collections of my favourite artists as well as preparing the top 30 cherry-picked most beloved tracks from each of their catalogues... The first episode I have decided 2 dedicate 2 GUS GUS one of my all time favourite acts. Does that sound like fun? Any other geeks around 2 appreciate it? Come on join the game if u please:-)
Do you still have last night in your body?

2nd single from Goldfapp's HEAD FIRST. Not my favourite choice 4 the next single (I WANNA LIFE!!!!!) the video however is rather brilliant. And so the season 4 vampire motives continues...
Azari & III give me hope "the real-deal" House Music is not dead yet... The sound of Toronto underground dance scene. Dark and androgynous. Very sleek production too...
Was going 2 drop some The Bird & The Bee this afternoon. Here's Class Actress instead. Not only 4 all those of u who would love Feist 2 collaborate with Glass Candy... Stunning video and a pretty song too. Here's a link 2 the artist's MYSPACE
New entry at number 1 on my chart 2day. Thanx 2 a very juicy cd mix from certain Mr Czarnecki (gracias amigo!). I'm in awe, one of the strongest track I heard all year so far... Kudos go 2 Stockholm this time. Fabulous!
Tracey Thorn is the owner of one of this planet's most refined and exquisite voices. I was very impatiently waiting 4 her brand new solo LP which is just around the corner now. Check out this precious track produced by Underworld's Ewan Pearson. It is a beauty.
My newest song addiction... Tacky, colourful & ridiculous! All the way from Japan. Check out this year's winners for the silliest band name and their super-electrifying MYSPACE. Pink high heels, lollipops and disco house.
Kooky little number I have discovered this evening catching up on Annie's favourite tracks of the past month on her myspace BLOG. Strangely haunting and very fresh indeed. The video blew me away...
So here it is, yet another sensational Beyoncé video. She should ditch those cheesy boring ballads 4ever and stick 2 upbeat stuff which she does exquisitely. This song was co-written by her talented sister Solange.
Totally admire his style as well as this super-delicious mish-mash of jazz, house 'n' beats... Smokin' vocals too. Cheers Piotruszeczki 4 the tip. Already scoring high positions on my charts this week. I predict top 5 at the end of this month... Time will tell but in the mean time LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT x
It is a completely different level of tackiness even in comparison 2 my previous posts in this thread but hey that's what I shamelessly adore as well. I'll bring you kitsch like u've never experienced it before ha ha ha... How about this little number then? Well I suppose the artwork of its 1980 7" single says it all doesn't it? ♥
