SHREM'S BIGGIES BUT GOODIES BASKET: "CALM DOWN" - Katy B, Four Tet & Floating Points

What a divine musical combo. A collaboration like no other. Katy B whose vocals proudly feature on this year's sole quality UK Chart #1 (the ubiquitous "Turn The Music Louder (Rumble)" with KDA and Tinie Tempah) teams up surprisingly with two cult producers Four Tet and Floating Points for a track that already sounds like Katy B's most ambitious single to date. The flawless string-laden production, the seductive vocals wrapped around a subtle melody and the inescapable beat makes "Calm Down" an immediate favourite. Katy B loves spoiling us with those unannounced "out-of-nowhere" surprise singles. "Calm Down" repeats the same trick as the phenomenal "Aaliyah" with Jessie Ware which was released in December 2012 and then again "Crying For No Reason" the very first great single of 2014. I am just glad I haven't started my "2015 Countdown of Choons" yet as "Calm Down" will most certainly make the final cut.

Official press release:

"In collaboration with Four Tet and Floating Points, Katy B reveals "Calm Down", the first piece of music taken from her new project entitled "Honey" that will see Katy teaming up with a number of producers and artists, further exemplifying Katy’s ability to push boundaries and create exciting new music. Expect more details of "Honey" to follow in the new year."
