SHREM'S DOUBLE TROUBLE: "DON'T LET ME DOWN" /// "BAD GIRLS" - Solange

Solange Knowles teaming up with Blood Orange last year for their "True" EP was both the best thing that happened to Pop and the best thing that happened to R'N'B. The immaculately produced EP continues to impress me with every next listen. "Don't Let Me Down" and "Bad Girls" are as enthralling as the ubiquitous "Losing You". Here they both are in studio and live interpretations.

CHOON OF THE DAY: "ATTRACTING FLIES" - AlunaGeorge

One of the most promising UK acts to emerge in the last few years and the most fruitful re-inventors of R'N'B - AlunaGeorge have just premiered their brand new production. "Attracting Flies" comes as a dazzling teaser of the duo's most anticipated debut album "Body Music" set to be released 1st July. Following the immense success of "White Noise", their collaboration with the mighty Disclosure, we can only expect them to become bigger and bigger. I personally can't wait to see them live in June at Sónar in Barcelona.

SHREM'S LATE MONDAY NIGHT SESSIONS: "ALL MY LIFE" - Sally Shapiro

The sweetest naïve soundscapes of Sally Shapiro. No-one reinvents Italo Disco and Eurodance in such a sublime way. "All My Life" makes me ecstatically excited about the Swedish duo's 3rd album "Somewhere Else" coming out literally right now worldwide via Paper Bag Records. You are all cordially invited to the online release party on Facebook! Always charming. Think this might be their best tune yet and the first one to compete with my previous favourite "Moonlight Dance".

CHOON OF THE DAY: "I'M SELFISH" - Jamie Lidell

Jamie Lidell's brand new album is out! And it is a fine, elegantly produced effort with some real modern funk gems. Balancing between future and oldskool sounds Lidell delivers a solid portion of his very own quirky take-on r'n'b and pop. The opening track "I'm Selfish" is my winner for the time being bringing back some sweet memories of Bobby Brown or The Gap Band rocking my 80's dancefloor back in the day... Tune!

SHREM'S CLUB BIZARRE INTRODUCING: "HIGH" - SSION

One of the most flamboyant, most innovative and least predictable musical acts in this part of the galaxy - SSION continues the promotion of their latest wonderfully twisted album "Bent" with yet another visual extravaganza. "High" is as berserk as it gets. It's electro, it's punk, it's urban. It's sleaze, it's camp, it's exorbitant. It's trashy, it's kitsch. It's all that and that's not even a one quarter of the whole story about it yet. I've always had an ultimate crush on Cody Critcheloe. And on his fashion sense! Really hope SSION will eventually release a DVD with all of these bonkers videos put together. "High" blew me away just like "My Love Grows In The Dark", "Luvvbazaar" or "Earthquake" previously did. What an album. I'm still in awe!

SHREM'S INSTITUTE OF LOST CLASSICS: "ONE FOR THE MONEY" - Sleeque

The year was 1986. And this house production, way ahead of its time, became an underground dance classic.

CHOON OF THE DAY: "HEAVEN FOR THE SINNER" - Bonobo feat. Erykah Badu

What an exquisite end of the day. Bonobo revealed his wondrous production with the soul siren Erykah Badu on their Soundcloud page earlier on today. It is an utter bliss of a collaboration and it'll serve as an exuberant lullaby for tonight I'm sure... You can pre-order "The North Borders" HERE!

SHREM'S FUTURE ANTHEMS: "AND EVERY" - Queenie

UK Garage sounds seem to be making the most prolific come back to the dancefloors of Europe gaining quite significant commercial success as well. I consider Disclosure's phenomenal single with AlunaGeorge "White Noise" scoring #2 on UK Chart last week the sign of a new era. Queenie's instantly captivating "And Every" will most certainly follow the stream of recent massive garage anthems by the likes of Disclosure, T. Williams or Mosca. Out now via Greenmoney Recordings!

I've cherry-picked subjectively these 10 of her most exquisite musical moments accentuating her versatility as a performer and as a vocalist. Whether with her own nu-disco crew Jessica 6 or guest-featuring on various dance records, Miss Ruiz always delivers to an astonishing effect. One of New York's coolest musical treasures.

SHREM'S INSTITUTE OF LOST CLASSICS: "SATISFACTION" - Björk with Pj Harvey [Live at Brit Awards 1994]

Brit Awards are coming up next week. As uninspiring and commercial they tend to be these days, no one can deny the brilliance of their heydays back in the 80's and 90's. I was waiting for the moment this spectacular duet by Björk and Pj Harvey would be available in a high quality clip for years... And the moment has arrived with The Brit Awards uploading their back-catalogue of performances and awards onto their official Youtube channel. Björk won 2 Brits that year for International Breakthrough and International Female Artist. If you somehow have never seen this performance before and you are a fan of either of the ladies, you're up for an enormously enjoyable treat. Goosebumps alert...

CHOON OF THE DAY: "ALLOWANCE" - Isolée

It's great to hear some new music from Frankfurt based wizard of minimal house and ambient Isolée! Let's hope the release of the video is a hint for the artist's 4th album. Soothing sounds...

SHREM'S LATE MONDAY NIGHT SESSIONS: "BLUE BIRD" - Thom Catt

I can't fully grasp or explain my feelings for these 3 astonishingly intriguing minutes of music... Lying somewhere between Angelo Badalamenti's atmospheric production, David Bowie's hypnotic vocals and the enigma of Colder with a whole bunch of additional unclassifiable elements, this sombre piece of Danish electronica left me stunned about an hour ago... The opening track from the latest installment in the superb series of compilations that is "Sound of Copenhagen". All I know about this mysterious artist is what I've learned from his Soundcloud so far. His name is Thomas Gaist. He's based in Odense, Denmark. "Blue Bird" - a goosebump-causing late night masterpiece...

SHREM'S FUTURE ANTHEMS: "SOMEBODY TO LOVE ME" [feat. Nomi Ruiz] + "DRIFTING" - Eli Escobar

Anything Nomi Ruiz featured on with her truly unique vocals turned into sonic gold in the recent few years. Her band Jessica 6 was also lately responsible for some of the hottest dancefloor tunes with the release of their astounding debut album "See The Light". This brand new track with the extraordinarily talented Harlem kid Eli Escobar, a follow-up to "Desire" their fruitful collaboration from 2011, sounds as euphoric and instantly anthemic as the songs Miss Ruiz previously recorded with Hercules & Love Affair, Rampa or Beni (remember the fantastic "Sway"?). The other track taken from Escobar's enormously exciting new EP "Drifting" is a lush slice of rare grooves re-made in nu-disco heaven. Guaranteed anthems of tomorrow.
