SHREM'S LATE MONDAY NIGHT SESSIONS... "JAMELIA" - Caribou

So many treats today! I'm catching up after a weekend long absence big time! Caribou has just released a brand new video for my favourite song from their epic "Swim" - "Jamelia"...

SHREM'S BIGGIES BUT GOODIES BASKET: BORN THIS WAY - Lady Gaga

Ok I do admit it's a good pop song. Quite anthemic actually. Gaga is closer and closer to finally releasing a song one day that I will actually adore. The "Express Yourself" vibe is uncanny but hey let's focus on the video which is something else, check it out...

Crème de la crème: FEBRUARY 2011

20 (N) - "Without Me" - Tevo Howard feat. Tracey Thorn - yet another superb club orientated collaboration with Tracey Thorn's exquisite vocals...

19 (18) - "Church Song" - The Miracles Club

18 (N) - "Start of The Show" - Dj Vadim presents The Electric feat. Sabira Jade - urban grooviness courtesy of the always-in-trend Dj Вадим
17 (N) - "Thirteen Times An Hour" - Isolée - deep house at its most refined...

16 (N) - "Gone Baby, Don't Be Long" - Erykah Badu
15 (N) - "Number One" - Patrick Alavi & Louis La Roche

14 (N) - "Sunshine" - Submotion
Orchestra - got this track on a mix tape this month from a fellow-muso Marcin vel Czerstwy Alojzy, a sophisticated piece of downtempo dubstep Sunshine by Submotion Orchestra

13 (N) -
"I Like What You're Doing (Lorenz Rhode's Dangerous mix)" - Cassian - 1980's revisited once again... Da bomb!
12 (N) - "Fireworks" - Wolfram feat. Hercules & Love Affair - as good as any of the better stuff on "Blue Songs"... This month's most clever promo video + Italo disco remix by
Johan Agebjörn is also amazingness!
11 (N) - "On & On" - The Leisure Allstars feat. Yolanda
10 (N) - "Beijos Seus Labios" - Baron Retif & Concepcion Perez feat. Tita Lima - brazilian electronic lullaby, this month's most intriguing 3 minutes 20 ;-)

09 (N) - "123, If You Want Me" - Steed Lord - Icelandic flamboyant fashionistas and their very own take on synth pop, viciously good!
08 (N) - "Daylight" - Peder feat. Signe Marie Schmidt-Jacobsen
- just one word: beautiful!
07 (N) - "More than Seven" - FCL

06 (8) - "Do You Need Someone" - Beth Ditto

Beth Ditto - Do You Need Someone by CandyGalore

05 (N) - "Lady Luck" - Jamie Woon
- he brought the velvet voice expression to a completely new level...
04 (N) - "White Horse" - Jessica 6 - The divine Nomi Ruiz and co with this month's catchiest single, really really hope there's a video for it on its way... Haunting! Jessica 6 - White Horse (PFG143) by Peacefrog Records

03 (N) - "Saké" - Jupiter - I found the most accurate description of Jupiter on last.fm: "
Jupiter deliver vintage-flavoured lazer-disco songs that would be on heavy rotation on every radio station in a better world." This is their fantastic brand new single taken of Kitsuné's latest compilation fully dedicated to the Parisian music scene...
02 (2) - "Let's Go" - FCL - such a low key relase but it really is one of the greatest house records in months if not years...

01 (1) - "I Wrote The Book" - Beth Ditto - La Ditto running the music rankings for a second month in a row, this is where the party's at!!!

SHREM'S INSTITUTE OF LOST CLASSICS: MY LIFE MUZIK - Thee Maddkatt Courtship

This true gem of a dance record was released without a lot of fanfare 2 years before Felix Da Housecat's breakthrough debut "Kittenz and Thee Glitz". It hasn't lost any of its charm since in my humble opinion...

CHOON OF THE DAY: AMAZING - Reel People feat. Tony Momrelle & Imaani

One of those songs I keep playing over & over again when the sun comes up. And since I'm in a particularly good mood today there's a bonus remix below too for all drum'n'bass boys'n'girls in the house ;-)

KEEP DA FLAVA OF DA OLDSKOOL: OOOPS - 808 State feat. Björk

This was Björk's first post-Sugarcubes flirt with the electronic scene, 2 years before her groundbreaking "DEBUT" dropped in. It has its special almost cult status among my favourite tracks cause perhaps if not for this Graham Massey collaboration, la Guðmundsdóttir would have never got into dance music in the first place... Timeless and hard to believe it's 20 years since its initial release...

SHREM'S LATE MONDAY NIGHT SESSIONS... "LADY LUCK" - Jamie Woon

Some say he will be the voice of 2011... Following his phenomenal Burial co-produced single "Night Air", Jamie Woon treats us with another gem of a song... Here's the original version and a special acoustic promo shot apparently on the boat somewhere in Cambodia, the video version certainly accentuates his goosebumps-causing velvet voice. What a talent!!!

SHREM'S DOUBLE TROUBLE: "I WROTE THE BOOK" - Beth Ditto /// "JUSTIFY MY LOVE" - Madonna

Oh how I was waiting for this video to be released!!! Beth Ditto's "I wrote the book" a.k.a. "the best song I heard in 2011 so far" pictured glamorously in a hommage to Madonna's "Justify My Love"... Could this possibly ever turn any more "up my street"? Impossible!!! Oh yeah and "I wrote the book" is at number one on my top 20 chart for the 23rd time in a row today!!! This one is BIG!!!!!
